Building and Craftsmanship has been the backbone of the Pheifer family for generations. Pheifers Custom Homes LLC was founded in 2011 by Kyle Pheifer.
Kyle grew up tagging along with his dad Curt Pheifer, and Grandpa Al Pheifer on various projects that helped spark his interest in the Trades. Whether it was building birdhouses, bridges, or habitat work.
Kyle also spent alot of time tagging Along with his Grandpa Rodney a 3rd generation Dairy farmer in Prairie Du Sac, who instilled a strong work ethic and a desire to work with the land. The dairy farm is now being run by the 5th generation and has a thriving up and coming 6th generation!
Kyle graduated from the Fox Valley Technical Colleges residential building program, and credits his education from FVTC in the quality that is showcased in his day-to-day work! "Alot of times when people perform work that is sub-par, it is because they were never taught the correct way of building. In the Program we had lots of hands-on experience, and one-on-one time with the professors that took the time to show and explain how and why to carry out different tasks. One example that has always stuck with me, is a basement that we reframed in the program, the house was only about 5 years old, but the original builders overlooked some flashing details, which ended up leading to some significant water damage! After seeing what a little water infiltration can do, I take flashing very seriously!"
Kyle worked for Pheifer Brothers Construction which his Grandpa Al and great uncle Robert started in 1952, for 2 seasons. Pheifer Brothers is still owned and operated by family! During his time at Pheifer Brothers Construction, building bridges, Kyle started Pheifers Custom Homes LLC for work in the off season. After a winter of working in the Residential realm Kyle quickly found his niche in constructing unique projects and seeks projects that are more of an Art Masterpiece verse a cookie cutter, builder grade home.
As an Avid Outdoorsmen, Kyle has a deep connection to the land and strives to build estates that are a compliment to the landscape and can be passed down for future generations to enjoy!
When Kyle is not on a building site he can be found enjoying boating on the Chain O Lakes, Fishing, Dog Training, Waterfowl Hunting, Bird Watching, spending time on the family woodlands in Waupaca, doing habitat work on his home property in Manawa. Whatever he may be doing, his wife, daughter and labrador retriever are seldom found apart.
